About
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru (JSSATEB) was established in 1997. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with the UG program accredited multiple times, most recently for 2023-2026. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories, a dedicated R&D center, and active student forums like IEEE, ISTE, and IETE.
The faculty includes highly qualified professors, with many holding PhDs and actively engaged in research areas such as VLSI design, embedded systems, communication engineering, and AI-driven technologies. The department has received ₹96 lakh in funding from agencies like VGST, TEQIP, and KCTU, supporting research in wireless sensor networks, biomedical signal processing, and machine learning.
With strong industry collaborations and placement support, around 80% of students secure jobs in reputed companies, with an average package of ₹5 lakh per annum. The department fosters innovation, ensuring students are industry-ready.
